New Year’s Eve Walk & Dinner

 

The Illinois Trekkers invite you to walk with us in Mascoutah, Illinois on New Year’s Eve 2021. Mascoutah is named after the Mascoutens, a well-known Indian tribe originally located in Michigan. The walk is on city street & sidewalks & the city will be decorated for the holidays. Please bring flashlights.

START LOCATION: Skootr’s Restaurant & Bar, 323 East Main Street (Illinois Highway 177), Mascoutah, Illinois.

START TIME: 4:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.   Please Note: Registration will ONLY be from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. Walkers must be finished by 7 p.m.

DINNER RESERVATIONS: After the walk we will gather at the Mascoutah Steak House at 1415 McKinley Street, Mascoutah, Illinois. If you plan to join us for dinner you must make reservations, by calling or emailing Susan Manfredi by December 23rd. Please Note: The room will be available at 6:30 p.m. for cocktails and dinner at 7 p.m.

Group Walk Jefferson Barracks YRE & Wreaths Across America on December 18, 2021

The Illinois Trekkers invite you to join them on a group walk. Note time change. Registration at 8:45 am & Walk 9:00 am.

On December 18, 2021 at 11:00 am there will be a ceremony, Wreaths Across America will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

Walkers are encouraged to volunteer to help with Wreaths Across America. Contact Sue Bacon at bacon[email protected] to join the group.

Christmas Walk & Party on December 4, 2021

Group Walk A Walk in the Parks of O’Fallon YRE. The Illinois Trekkers will host a special holiday group walk. Registration will begin at 9:45 am. The normal $3 fee applies to walkers. Group step off will be at 10:15 am. At the conclusion of the 5k walk, we will gather at Silver Creek Saloon for our Christmas lunch and party beginning at 12:00 noon. No pre-payment is required for this event. Attendees will select their own meals directly from the menu and be responsible for paying their own bill.
After our meal, we will have a short program and end the party with a Christmas game and Christmas gift exchange. Those wishing to participate are to bring a wrapped gift suitable for both genders (unisex) with a
value of $20. Even if you do not want to participate, you will want to stick around for the fun.
It would be helpful to know how many people will be attending the walk and/or lunch. Please send a text or email that you will be attending. If you are not planning to walk but would like to join the holiday fun, please send
