9:00 am-11:00 am 2022-05-07 2 St Ferdinand Park Dr, Florissant, MO 63031, USA This walk will be in conjunction with Florissant’s annual Valley of the Flowers Festival which they will have this year. (It was skipped in 2020 and 2021.) Saint Louis Walkers will have a new route! Register between 9-11 at the gazebo on the grounds of Old St. Ferdinand’s Shrine. The Gateway Milers will walk as a group, probably at 9:15-9:30. Parking is on the street or in the field across from the gazebo. Dogs are welcome BUT NOT on the festival grounds, per Florissant’s regulations. If you bring your dog, we’ll have a walk-around. For more information, email DeAnne at [email protected]. $3/walker. It is the third largest park in the city and was established in 1875. Within the park is a beautiful boathouse, a recreation center and pool, tennis courts, ballfields and walking paths! Come enjoy this beautiful park and the lovely surrounding neighborhood. A 5km route and 10km route will be available. Highland is one of the oldest Swiss settlements in the United States. Highland’s historic district is where the walk starts and ends with the city’s landmark fountain and Plaza Square Park. The landmark Lory Theatre is also part of the historic district.
