WELCOME TO THE WATERLOO TOWN WALK: Join us for a Traditional Walk event to celebrate health and wellness in Waterloo, Illinois. Experience the historic downtown where merchants & restaurants are hosting Celebrations! Explore Waterloo. Stroll along city sidewalks to visit historic Peterstown House (1843), Bellefontaine House, and Monroe County History Museum. Many of the city’s buildings today reflect the heritage left by early German settlers. Explore “the first permanent settlement (1781) in what is now the State of Illinois”, with the earliest settlers including families of Revolutionary War veterans. Prost! The Illinois Trekkers invite you to join them on a 5k/10k group walk.   Note time change for registration & start time. Registration 8:45 AM and start walking at 9:00 AM.  5K walk normally takes about 1 hour. 10k walk normally take 2 hours.
