The Saint Louis Walkers host the walk which is held in conjunction with the annual Valley of the Flowers Festival in Florissant, Missouri. The walk start table is in the park gazebo on the north side of St. Francois Street, between St. Charles Street and the Old St. Ferdinand Shrine.

WELCOME TO HIGHLAND, ILLINOIS! We will meet up at their historic Plaza Square. Get set to enjoy their beautiful tree-lined streets. Highland is one of the oldest Swiss settlements in the United States. It was founded in 1831 by Swiss pioneers from Sursee, Switzerland and has shared the title of “Sister City” with Sursee since 1976. Highland’s historic district is where the walk starts and ends with the city’s landmark fountain and Plaza Square Park. The landmark Lory Theatre is also part of the historic district. Highland is the birthplace of Pet Milk and Schott Brewery. Other areas of interest include the Wicks Organ Company, founded in the early 1900’s.  Its first successful organ, the Opus One, was contracted by St. Paul R.C. Church in 1906 and from there continued throughout the early 20^th century to invent their patented “Direct Electric” valve. Walkers will walk a new route.

Parking is limited at the City Police Station start point. Walking Groups should park in the Masonic Lodge parking lot at corner of N. Main & E. Temple [please park in north lot].

Welcome to Blackburn Park in charming Webster Groves. This walk has something for everyone including lovely parks and homes, restaurants and a visit to the Cardinal Rigali (10k) grounds! The Gateway Milers have a 5km and 10km route available. The 10K route includes Blackburn Park, a 38 acre park with walking paths and picnic areas, Wehner Memorial Park, lovely neighborhoods, and the beautiful grounds of Cardinal Rigali Center, Laclede Grove and part of the charming downtown area. The 5k includes Blackburn Park and the pretty neighborhood surrounding the park. The 10k has a few stairs and is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. The 5k is accessible for strollers and wheelchairs .

The ILLINOIS TREKKERS invite you, your family, and your friends to join us for a walk through Shiloh, Illinois. Settlers were first recorded in the area about 1785. You will walk to the new Freedom Park to see the first “Freedom Rock” in the State of Illinois. The murals highlight area military history as a way of Honoring America’s Veterans.

START LOCATION: June’s Breakfast + Patio, 430 South Main Street, Shiloh, Illinois. Parking at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Corner of Shiloh Station Road & 2^nd Street in Shiloh.
