Due to the hot weather the time for Group Walks on Tuesdays & Saturdays has changed. Registration is at 7:45 am with walks starting at 8:00 am.

The Illinois Trekkers invite you to walk in Illinois to help Illinois celebrate the state’s bicentennial.

Walkers enjoyed a beautiful walk followed by lunch.

Walkers on the 11k walk will see the Elijah Lovejoy Monument.

Corrected driving instructions to start point for walk.

From Illinois( I-270): take IL-255 North to Exit 6 route IL143 turn left on IL-143. Stay in left hand lane after going through Wood River to stay on IL-143 at Route 3 intersection. IL-143 turns into Landmarks Blvd. at Clark Bridge in Alton. At second light after bridge turn left on Henry Street. Turn left on to Riverfront Drive to Picnic Shelter (behind the Liberty Bank Amphitheater).

From St. Louis (I-270 N): take MO-367/67 North across Clark Bridge, turn left onto Landmarks Blvd. At second light turn left on Henry Street. Turn left on to Riverfront Drive to Picnic Shelter (behind the Liberty Bank Amphitheater).

Walker will see the historic site of the Lincoln Douglas debate.

Walkers enjoyed the cooler temperatures & a fun walk. After the walk walkers were treated to a beautiful rainbow. Mother nature was being very good to the walkers.

The Heat was on, but the walkers enjoyed the walk at the Shrine.

Walkers can view the Robert Wadlow statue on the walk. Walkers may purchase an embroidered patch depicting Robert Wadlow, the tallest man in the world. The patch will be available for $4 at the start table. Only 50 patches will be available for purchase.
