Register at 7:45 AM and start walking at 8:00 AM.

The Illinois Trekkers invite you to walk historic Red Bud. View the Opera House that once was home to the opera & now is home to the Bistro Restaurant & the Red Bud Museum. Beautiful homes & the beautiful & unique city hall along with several opportunities to see classic cars fill the streets of Red Bud. Enjoy a classic service station with a wrecker too. Walkers will pass a drop box for flags that need to be retired. When enough flags are received, a special ceremony is held for proper burning of the flags. Cell phones can also be donated to soldiers at the drop box. Help celebrate The Illinois Bicentennial by walking historic Red Bud. Walkers have a chance to win a Illinois Bicentennial lapel pin. Walkers may enter YMCA through Main Street or Oak Street entrance.
