Three Mile Thursday Group Walk Belleville Downtown, Historic District & Richland Creek Greenway
The Illinois Trekkers invite you to join them on a 5k group walk. Registration 5:45 PM and start walking at 6:00 PM. 5K walk normally takes about 1 hour.
Florissant Traditional Walk
This walk will be in conjunction with Florissant’s annual Valley of the Flowers Festival which they will have this year. (It was skipped in 2020 and 2021.) Saint Louis Walkers will have a new route! Register between 9-11 at the gazebo on the grounds of Old St. Ferdinand’s Shrine. The Gateway Milers will walk as a group, probably at 9:15-9:30. Parking is on the street or in the field across from the gazebo. Dogs are welcome BUT NOT on the festival grounds, per Florissant’s regulations. If you bring your dog, we’ll have a walk-around. The Gateway Milers are hosting a traditional walk. Carondelet is a gorgeous park in south St Louis. It is the third largest park in the city and was established in 1875. Within the park is a beautiful boathouse, a recreation center and pool, tennis courts, ballfields and walking paths! Come enjoy this beautiful park and the lovely surrounding neighborhood. A 5km route and 10km route will be available. Both routes will meander throughout the park and the surrounding eclectic, lovely neighborhood. The 10k will also include a section of the Greenway Trail.
Group Bike Ride Belleville East YMCA Trail
The Illinois Trekkers invite all bike riders to join them for a one hour bike ride. Meet on the parking lot of Belleville East YMCA at 2627 Carlyle Ave, Belleville, IL. Registration at 1:15 pm & ride at 1:30 pm. This is an AVA sanctioned bike ride. All riders pay $3 & will stamp their event book & bike distance book.

A Walk in Highland Traditional Walk
WELCOME TO HIGHLAND, ILLINOIS with their historic Plaza Square and beautiful tree-lined streets. Highland is one of the oldest Swiss settlements in the United States. It was founded in 1831 by Swiss pioneers from Sursee, Switzerland and has shared the title of “Sister City” with Sursee since 1976. Highland’s historic district is where the walk starts and ends with the city’s landmark fountain and Plaza Square Park. The landmark Lory Theatre is also part of the historic district. Highland is the birthplace of Pet Milk and Schott Brewery. It is the 7th safest community in Illinois!
