2018 Membership Dues

Single $6.00             Family $12.00

Thank you to all that have paid their 2018 dues.  However, there is still dues outstanding.  If you name is deleted from the membership list, you will no longer be entitled to purchase or use YRE $2.00 coupon (saving $1.00 on each YRE walk), Footnotes and monthly minutes will not be sent directly to you, you will not receive discount on dinner at Christmas party and not qualify to participate in Trekker Buck program. MOST IMPORTANTLY, Your active membership enables us to keep putting on quality events. If you are participating in Illinois Trekker events, you must consider them a value. Becoming a member is going to keep what you value active. 

Check is to be payable to Illinois Trekkers, mailing address is P.O. Box 603, O’Fallon, IL  62269.  Be sure to complete the membership form which is on www.illinois-trekkers.org/pdfs/trekkermembership2018.  Forms are available at the club meeting and at our club walks.  Be sure to include your name, current address, phone numbers, valid email address and indicate the walks you would be interested to volunteer to help.  (This is not a commitment but will be a helpful for the POC.)

Holiday/New Year’s Eve Walk & Dinner Belleville, IL December 31, 2017

The Illinois Trekkers invite you to walk with us in Belleville, Illinois on New Year’s Eve 2017. Belleville is French meaning “Beautiful City”. Join us for a walk along Main Street (It is claimed to be America’s longest Main Street. True or not, it is the longest in Illinois!) We will walk most of downtown Main Street with the fountain decked out for the holidays, Christmas decorations, the lights over Main Street, and the Gingerbread creations in the store windows. Dress accordingly for the winter weather. Registration for the walk will be at the Balance Coffee and Tea, 732 South Illinois Street (Illinois Highway 159), Belleville, Illinois. Registration time will only be from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. At 5:30 there will be a guided group walk. Please plan to join us for dinner after the walk. We will be gathering after the walk for dinner at 4204 Main Street Brewing Company from 7 – 10 p.m. (Cocktails at 7, dinner at 8), We will order from the menu. Illinois Trekkers Christmas Walk & Party Millstadt, IL December 2, 2017

 Illinois Trekkers will host a special holiday group walk on Saturday, December 2.  Registration will begin at 9:30 at the Millstadt Village Park in Millstadt.  The normal $3 fee applies.  Group step off will be at 10:00 am.  Jackie McKay will be assisting with the registration.  At the conclusion of the walk, we will gather at Smokin’ K’s (548 E. Washington)  in Millstadt for our Christmas lunch and party beginning at 12:15 pm.
No pre-payment is required for this event.  Attendees will select their own meals directly from the menu and be responsible for paying their own bill.  No Trekker Bucks are valid to cover the cost of your meal.
After lunch we will honor a few members with awards and end the party with our Christmas gift exchange.  Those wishing to participate are to bring a wrapped gift suitable for either a man or a woman (value $15).  Even if you do not participate, you will want to stick around for the fun.
It would be helpful to know how many people will be attending the walk and/or lunch.  A sign-up sheet will be available at the November meeting and the Way of Lights Shrine walk on November 14.  If you are not planning to walk but would like to join the holiday fun, please send me an email ([email protected]) or text me at 618-973-3825) to let me know you will be attending the lunch.

 

Way of Lights Walk at The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows Belleville, IL November 14, 2017

Experience over one million miniature lights illuminating trees, figures, and displays that depict the true Christmas story. This walk is like no other walk in the area. Bring your family and friends to enjoy an awesome evening. The Shrine is not open for public display during this event, so minimal traffic will interfere with your enlightening walk experience. Bring a flashlight to light the way as you walk though the Way of Lights and see the renovated stations of the cross.
